There’s nothing quite like the hustle and bustle of a busy fairground; the sounds, the lights, the laughs and the cheers; a hidden assortment of curiosities, games secrets and bargains secreted away around every corner. For this year’s Swingamajig we are excited to announce the launch of our Vintage Bazaar – think market meets fairground with a big vintage twist.
Running alongside Swingamajig 2017, the bazaar will open its doors at 11AM and continue on until 6PM. It stretches its way along Lower Trinity Street, as well as weaving its way through Spotlight and Mama Roux. Totally family friendly, there’s a little something for everyone and best of all it’s completely free to enter and you don’t need a Swingamajig ticket to get involved!
The Swingamajig Bazaar will include a load of dance workshops, games and activities, shopping opportunities and more. You can find Stalls selling the finest vintage clothing, jewellery and locally sourced food as well as an assortment of wild entertainment including face painting, balloon modelling, arts & crafts and walk around performances from some of the best stilt walkers, jugglers and dancers in town. There’s incredible street food from the legendary and award winning Digbeth Dining Club and on top of all this, it’s the Swingamajig Vintage Bazaar so you know there will be no shortage of fantastic characters.
We’ll be teasing some more of the awesome sights and sounds you can find round the Bazaar over the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled for more news and join the event on Facebook here!
