FAQ

What time does the festival begin?

We open at 2pm on Sunday, May 6th 2018 and the live acts/performances start straight away. As we go into the evening we will shift the focus over to our host of talented DJs, so if you want to catch the live acts/performances then make sure you’re around during the day. We will keep the party going until 2am, after which you’re all invited to our official After Party, which carries on until the sun comes up at 6am! (After Party tickets are just £5 for Swingamajig Festival ticket holders).

How do I get there?

The Festival takes place in Birmingham, with more info coming soon…

Can I Volunteer with Swingamajig?

Swingamajig is all about people getting involved so that everyone can have the best experience possible. If you want to volunteer to play a part in the show like no other, click here.

Where can I stay?

There are several hotels and hostels near by, we’ve also partnered with some of our favorite local hotels to get you some discounted rates and later check out to make sure you’re fully refreshed before your journey home. Check out our guide on where to stay here.

Will there be food and drink?

There will a huge variety of delicious food and drink on offer at Swingamajig.  With such a long and action packed day, so we wouldn’t want you going hungry! We’ve got delicious, reasonably priced organic food and yummy veggy/vegan options too for all our herbivore friends and on top of this we have free-from-food for anyone with particular allergies.

Food will be served from the moment we open, up until 1am Monday morning.

Drinks, alcoholic and otherwise will be provided, with a choice of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails at reasonable prices.

What can I bring with me?

Unfortunately we will not allow any food or drink  to be brought in from outside the event. If you plan on smuggling in things in that you shouldn’t have (tut tut) these items will be taken off you and you may be asked to leave the event.

What should I wear?

We don’t have an official dress code, but you will find plenty of top hats and flapper dresses worn by some of the most beautiful ladies and dapper gents around. Come in whatever you will feel most comfortable in.

In any case, however you decide to dress, make sure you bring your dancing shoes!

“What if it rains?” Well, with our new site there will be plenty of rain cover so we can continue rain or shine.  We have however booked the sun, so expect the weather to be glorious!  There will be a cloakroom where you will be able to leave your coats and bags so you can dance freely.

You can check out the photos from our previous shows here!

Stalls and traders

We are accepting applications from traders, simply fill in the form here and we’ll get back to you.

The nearest cash points are at the Digbeth Coach station, a 5 minute walk away.  Make sure you have plenty of cash with you as some stalls will not accept cards transactions.

Are children welcome?

As Swingamajig is an over 18s event, we will be unable to allow anyone under this age on the site.
