Swingamajig is a one day festival like no other - bringing together an eclectic blend of music, dance, and cabaret.  The festival takes the sounds and styles from the roaring 1920s and brings them up to date with a modern twist.

2024 is a big year for the festival, as we leave the lawns and greenhouses of Birmingham's Botanical Gardens, and return to our home in Digbeth nestled amongst the Victorian railway bridges and graffiti art that made Swingamajig the festival that it is.

For our homecoming show we will have a line up featuring the very best of Swingamajig over the years. With live bands, DJs, circus, swing dancing, burlesque, walkabout, street food and more.  We will have a mixture of indoor and outdoor spaces, plus all the stages are covered so it will be fun whatever the weather.  Alongside our partners Circus Mash, Swing Era, Neon Moon, Swingmatism and Ragtime Records, there will be the best vintage inspired line up that we could possibly imagine!

Headlining this year is our very own Electric Swing Circus, the band that formed the festival back in 2013.  Alongside them we have everyone from electro-swing festival favorites Elle & the Pocket Belles to the Big Band of Boom, a 12 piece rock band with a kick ass horn section.  Our DJs line up is curated with some of the very best DJs from the festival to date, with headliners Jamie Berry, Fizzie Gillespie and the C@ In The H@.  Playing everything from vintage swing and rock n roll to jazzy drum and bass and everything in between.

For those wishing to try some traditional charleston and lindy hop swing dance, we will be having classes and performances courtesy of The Swing Era. The vintage market will be back again this year, where you can get anything from top hats to vintage records and there will be a fantastic selection of food and craft drinks on offer.

We have held our prices from last year with tickets starting at just £30+bf in advance.

Doors are at 14:00 and the festival ends at midnight, but for those that want to keep dancing there will be a free afterparty at the same venue until 03:00.
