Accomodation

One of the undeniable massive bonuses of an urban festival – you don’t have to sleep in a leaky old tent! As you’d imagine, in the heart of Birmingham, there are loads of places to stay close both to the Botanical Ball.

For those coming to the Swingamajig Botanical Ball but not the Afterparty

The Botanical Ball takes place at the Botanical Gardens in Edgebaston just off the Hagley road.  There is a choice of guest houses nearby that will have parking and they are walking distance from the Venue.

Using the postcode B15 3TR you can find a choice of accommodation from just £25 up to £165 if you want to stay at one of Birmingham’s best boutique hotels.

If  you are also joining us at the Afterparty

If you are coming to the afterparty the we would normally advise you stay near the Afterparty venue Amusement 13 (and taxi to the gardens and back  which shouldn’t be more than £8 each way) which is much closer to the centre of town.  This will be particularly convenient if you are coming to Birmingham by Public transport.  If you are driving there are some pay and display carparks around and parking wont be too bad over the bank holiday but for free street parking check out some hotels that are a little further away such as the Rowton Hotel, Birmingham Backpackers or the IBIS at Bordesley

There are plenty of hotels within walking distance from the Afterparty including 3 Travel Lodges, an IBIS and IBIS Budget with rooms from just £30 and check their websites directly to get the best deals

Apartments/Air BnB
If you’re coming as a group or fancy a slightly different kind of experience, you might find that Airbnb is little more up your street, in which case just search Kent Street (for the afterparty) or Westbourne Rd (for the Botanical Ball) whichever is most convenient

Dont forget to check out options for services apartments too as they are often very cheap on Sundays/bank holidays.
